My husband and I met Bobby and Danica in Ocala last winter, and since then have had eight of our young KWPN horses with them. Six of those young horses were “started” by Bobby and Danica, and one was a 5-year-old Dressage horse that they helped to train over fences and then sold. We have been THRILLED with Bobby and Danica in every way! They both are fantastic horsemen and are compassionate and skilled riders and trainers. They are hardworking and give the horses in their care amazing treatment and affection. The eight horses differed widely in temperament, rideability, size, and sensitivity, but Bobby and Danica’s horsemanship and skill gave each horse exactly what they needed with great outcomes.
We also sold them a horse last month and found them both to be fair, completely honest, and wonderful to work with in every way. The horses are beautifully cared for, happy, and look better and better every time I see them. Bobby and Danica’s barn and facilities are fantastic, and full of “Happy Horses”. I wouldn’t change a thing, except I wish they were closer!
The fact that we would send our horses, that far away (about 4 + hours) is a testament to our level of trust in Bobby and Danica (we usually keep our horses closer to home so they are within the reach of our Veterinary Practice). – Karin Jimenez, Sporting Chance Farm, Coatsville, PA
Bobby Meyerhoff has successfully started and also helped me successfully market three of my young Hanoverian sport horses over the years. He has also started and shown the youngsters successfully over fences. I’m particular about who handles my young homebreds, but feel very confident in recommending both Bobby and Danica as quality young horse trainers, also knowing that my horses will receive very good care and be in a high quality feeding program with good, safe turnout as well as a warm, clean, and spacious stall. As well, I sent a high performance show hunter to Bobby for a tune-up and she came back to me with better cadence and better form over fences after two months with Bobby. I’ve recommended the Meyerhoffs to top hunter and jumper trainers to start their young horses, and these trainers have been pleased. – Diane Halpin of Laurel Leaf Hanoverians
My family’s experience with Meyerhoff Show Horses was truly top class. Both Bobby and Danica, made the stress of selling a horse minimal and continued to work towards the best situation possible for both the horse and our family. Bobby is a phenomenal clinician who I’ve ridden with multiple times. He works to strengthen the partnership between horse and rider while pushing you to reach your full potential. Both my family and I have truly been lucky to work with the Meyerhoffs and I was very pleased he helped us sell my one star horse and continues to contribute to my career growth. – Mackenzie Spaes
I had looked long and hard for coaches/trainers in our area that could help me with my young horses. After my first lesson with both Bobby and Danica I knew that I was working with true horse professionals. They have both been committed to helping me achieve my goals along with carefully developing a training plan for my three horses. For me they have helped me understand my horses and have broken down how to ride each one, for all three are very different. What separates Bobby and Danica from other coaches and trainers, and impressed me, is that they have raised, started, and competed their horses all the way to the top-level competition. I am very thankful for all that they have done for me and my horses. – Joan Howard
I started training with Bobby and Danica in 2014 when they moved to Santa Cruz, California. Having ridden for many years with a fair share of trainers, it was evident from the day my mare and I moved in that Meyerhoff Show Horses was a unique program. Bobby and Danica are both highly accomplished riders whose combined talents complement each other, resulting in a dynamic, educational, and fun program for riders at any level.
In addition to their strong training and teaching skills, they are both excellent horsemen. Their top priority is the comfort and safety of the horse. They were incredibly helpful and supportive by helping me treat my mare’s arthritis and back problems, and are still happy to give me advice, even after they’ve moved back to the East Coast. I would recommend their program to anybody, at any level, who is looking for both a fun and informative atmosphere to grow and learn as a rider, competitor and horseman. – Lauren Lee
